A Few Cartoons From Before the Turn of the Century
Posted By Randy on May 5, 2010
I was recently rifling through the my archives and happened upon some cartoons I doodled back in the early 1980’s; around the time Mrs. LFM would have been … oh I don’t know … probably two. Now, all these years later, they made the mature Mrs. LFM laugh, so she scanned them for me and I’m posting them here to see what else happens. Clicking on each cartoon will expand it to full size.
The next one is titled “The Stone Heads of Easter Island”. I’m telling you that in case you’re not at your best today.
This last cartoon is a two-parter titled “Test Tube Babies”.
In case you don’t get the caption on this one, it’s a reference to “Nobody Loves Me But My Mother” by the immortal BB King. For your enjoyment, and possibly your education, I’ll close this post with a YouTube video of BB King performing his classic. I’ll warn ya; cowboys don’t have the market cornered on hurtin’ songs, and they don’t call it “The Blues” for nothin’.
I love it. Noody loves me but my mother andshe could be jivin’ too.
