Worldly Wisdom Wednesday – An Illustrative Example of the Great Divide
Posted By Randy on December 26, 2012
Remember this – movies and TV shows notwithstanding, a Dog is not a cuddle toy, a child’s playmate or bedfellow, a babysitter, or an animated piece of furniture. Society has lost this Great Truth, and Dogs are the ones that pay the price. ~ Muddy Waters
Last week I introduced “The Great Divide” and explained why and how I apply it. This week I’ll provide a short and not particularly sweet video illustration of my point. The video you are about to watch is hard to swallow for anyone with a shred of empathy, let alone those of us who speak Dog. Behaviours like these, and far worse, are being played out right now, even as you read this, and when a Dog can bear no more, lashing out in its own defense, the verdict will be death on the grounds that it did so without reason. Unprovoked. History is, after all, written by those who have the upper hand.
How I would resolve this if I were King of the World does not bear detailed explanation here, but let it be known that it wouldn’t include children or Dogs, and it would involve people being jumped on. A LOT, without expectation of understanding or mercy, and no known end in sight.
How lucky they are that the Dog didn't eat the kid for lunch and then have to be put down. Dogs, all animals, unless they are naturally predatory are sent to protect us not to be violated through whimsey.
How lucky indeed. Unfortunately, this exceptionally trusting and tolerant Dog defines what far too many people see as the incarnation of what they mean when the words "good dog" pass their lips.
Here’s the problem with dumb ass people like those in the video. Nowadays, every fool wants a video to “go viral”, and so they try to create something that will be of interest to other dumb ass fools just like themselves! It’s their big dream come true, a video that takes off and gives them their 15 minutes of fame.
Tough to watch that. Didn’t notice if comments were disabled or not, I should add my two cents if possible.
Agreed Gary. The “dumber-assed than thou” mentality leads to delusions and aspirations of “reality” show grandeur.. So called “viral” videos , even those that prove how much of a tool the originator is, are seen as a stepping stone to fame.
