Large Fierce Mammal

One of the many problems afflicting the world is the blind acceptance of the legitimacy of what have come to be called “non-governmental organizations” or “NGO’s”. Where once were organizations we all recognized and understood – the Red Cross/Crescent, the Salvation Army, to name but a few – we now have a plethora of organizations, some of which are fronted by people who view the suffering of other living things as a business opportunity, and form lucrative business enterprises permitting them to make a living from it. In this time of world conflict, while the smoke and mirrors types are busy demonizing arms dealers and defense contractors as war profiteers, the victim advocate who would be unemployed without a victim to advocate for is granted virtual sainthood. Some deserve it. Some don’t.

If all conflict went away tomorrow, everyone forgot why they hated someone else enough to kill them over it, and all distrust spontaneously dissolved into daisy petals, all the victim advocates wouldn’t go away because the money to be made from convincing the world that there is always a new victim to defend is too good to lose. From this grows a constant search for the next big market as a hedge against a sudden and unprecedented outbreak of world peace.

Today I would like to expose one such hedge as it represents the latest front in the battle for world salvation – the lowly foreskin. Add to that the heart string tugging ingredient of child welfare and you have gold!

Allow me to introduce the Canadian Children’s Rights Council which, among other issues I have with them not least of which being the faux official way they promote themselves, idiotically and unforgivably equates the circumcision of boys with the circumcision of girls.

Motherfuckers.

Cultures that practice female circumcision are doing it for purposes of control. Their advocates will not sit at the same table as me.

I, like most males born in Nova Scotia in my generation, was circumcised in infancy. It was the way things were done, and regardless of the reason or country of occurrence, the procedure leaves everything in proper working order. Females of the same nationality and vintage as me were left unaltered by Canadian culture because we hereabouts do not adhere to the belief that our women should be denied sexual gratification – at least not surgically. Nobody can save anyone from bad partner choices down the road.

It hasn’t escaped my notice that doing a Google image search for “penis sculpture” turns up pictures like this …

On the other hand, doing a Google image search for “uncircumcised penis sculpture” got me a number of pictures of naked women, plus this …

Interestingly, even countries that don’t normally practice male circumcision portray it in art, and those that practice female circumcision hide behind the drapery of cultural prerogative. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
