Dark Sentiments 2015 – Day 8: Who’s Hungry?
Posted By Randy on October 8, 2015
Don’t worry. This isn’t my annual “The Year in Cannibalism” piece. That’s yet to come; although it must be admitted that nothing says “cannibalism” like a child smoothie.
What we have for you tonight is a delightfully blood spattered animated interpretation of the Brothers Grimm tale, Hansel and Gretel. Produced by the California Institute of the Arts in 2009, Who’s Hungry? was created, directed, and animated by David Ochs with post production assistance by Michelle Kim.
Set to a musical score consisting entirely of Turkey in the Straw, this short, sharp, shot glass full of violence has it all – “… evil, danger, self-reliant heroes, terrible and disgusting villains, and threatening environments.”
What more could you want?
