  1. Randy, Thanks for this! It's wonderful, and rings absolutely true. I also appreciate the fact that you understand the idea that some things just have to be accepted for what they are.

I have to tell you that there are in me really dark areas in my mind where desire is concerned. I'm often amazed to find that while others may not talk about it, many have the same sorts of darkness in their souls. I personally believe that this is the leftovers of our evolutionary past, in which the large fierce mammals won over the small meek ones, and those willing to seek out their darker passions somehow left more offspring. But the ultimate truth is in your last line; the mind is the primary sexual organ.

And if I haven't said it before, you're a damned good writer.

Thanks again for giving this to us.

Thank you Arthur. Many avert their eyes from the dark parts of their soul for a variety of reasons, and often discourage their children from ever doing so. Read the original versions of most popular fairy tales – the way they were before Disney and the like got hold of them – and you find tales aimed at teaching children some very dire lessons indeed! Diana addressed this on LFM in the first year of the Dark Sentiments series in this article – http://randy.whynacht.ca/archives/2749

As to the mind being the seat of eros, once you figure that out and learn to stroke it the right way … mmmmmm …

  2. Excellent and need I say more?
Grab her by her flowing tresses
And throw her to the floor
Let her writhe and moan forevermore
And take you through the magenta door

    • Randy says:

      Thank you Steve!

Interesting how few have admitted to even reading this, let alone that it spoke to them. I tell you, writing this series every year never fails to identify all the best people to drink with.

  3. Gary Carbone says:

I did not read this , I did not read this……..but, if I had read it, I would say good job Randy. Lets rejoice in the depths of the mind, both light and dark.

    • Randy says:

Thank you Gary … or at least I would have thanked you if you’d read and commented on the piece. I think that’s it … yea, that’s it.
