A Wondrous Gift on this Busy Monday
Posted By Randy on February 25, 2019
A while back, Mrs. LFM and I were spending a soul filling Autumn day in Kejimkujik National Park, and at one point, with the aid of a handy boulder, she captured this perfect moment.
This is presently the banner picture on my personal Facebook page, and as it turns out, it caught the attention of my Esteemed Friend John, none other than the Whiskey Cowboy himself, of whom I’ve previously spoken.
John is also a professional photographer, and it was with the utmost delight that I received this message from him this very afternoon —
“Love your new banner image. I decided to play with it a bit to show you how I see it…. hope you like….”
Like it? We LOVE it!
He also added,
“I wanted to bring the both of you out more. and I like the darker feel. More… wild…. masculine…
“I was going to stop with bringing you both out more clearly, but kept going … I like both ways, but this one is more rustic, gritty, and raw.”
John wasn’t talking through his hat. Mrs. LFM and I are in absolute agreement with his take on the picture, and could not be more delighted with what he so artfully and skillfully did with it.
Thanks in abundance John! You took a picture of a beautiful lone woman being molested on a deserted beach by some dashingly handsome brute when all she was trying to do was admire the autumn colours across the lake, and turned it into something truly magickal. Ride ’em Cowboy!
