  1. Randy, you have so well written it, and so well stated the true situation we now find ourselves facing, it leaves little left to say that could make the issue any clearer. God help us as a human species if we don't find a way to rectify it. But all of us who see the reality must speak the truth. And especially those who have gifted enough to speak it with authority and clarity, knowledge and wisdom as you have.

Another excellent and penetrating piece; and although we live in separate but adjacent countries, with very different histories, different forms of government, different political parties….this would easily fit into the op ed of ANY USA blog or newspaper. Sadly,. I think that this demonstrates the old adage about power tending to corrupt and you know the rest. I am older than you and recall cops who 'walked a beat', they did a foot patrol nightly through town, rattling merchant's doors to check the locks, speaking to the locals. Most everyone knew the cops on their beat, by name, and as you said, they were not bully thugs looking to kickass. They were your friends, trusted neighbors, the guys you could call to help with a flat tire or a lost cat. We loved our cops then. But indeed as the elites began to reign over the hoi polloi, they needed a thug force, and thus began the process of creating the 'us versus them' ,mentality and then supplying all the military battle gear that follows. Is it too late to see things reverse course? I do not know. My heart wants to cling to hope and optimism, but my decades of observation put up great resistance. I suppose that one can only go on day by day, hoping for the best, but being prepared for the worst.
