Dark Sentiments 2015 – Day 2: Bloodied but Unbowed
Posted By Randy on October 2, 2015
This poem was inspired by the Lunar eclipse that coincided with last weekend’s “super moon”. The brilliant round edge of white on the rust red orb of the “blood moon” in this photo was the kicker, and there’s nothing else to say beyond that I see hints (sometimes not so subtle) of primal, raw sexuality in everything; especially now that the rutting season is upon us. Much mythology shares the propensity, so I lay no claim to originality in the thought. Only to the rhyme.
Bloodied but Unbowed

How better is’t to spend the night,
Than sharing it with she,
Who’ll race through blood and dark to bare
Her sweet round arse for me?

Red is the meaning of life.
Isn't that supposed to be 42?
I saw what attempted to be the display of the ‘end of times’ in NY, but was obstructed by the vast array of clouds and the incessant annoying remarks of the crowd on the 72nd Street promenade here in NY that conveyed in typical urban banter the damnable arrognace of the moon not to have thwarted the solar demonstration of angst. However, I did get to see the enormity of the moon over Jerusalem that I posted. Alas …maybe next time, (assuming of course that there will be a next time …or are we entering Armageddon?
