I recall, as a child, seeing stories about different Santa Claus legends from other lands. There was one, whose name I don't recall, in which Santa was accompanied by a black, demonic figure. Santa would leave fruit and candy for the good children, but the demon would take the bad ones and stuff them in his sack to be eaten later. Happy times!

Ah Jay, that demon would be Krampus! You can get a bit more on him at http://randy.whynacht.ca/archives/6395 and http://randy.whynacht.ca/archives/11191 . That last one contains some links to other strange tales from the world of LFM.
