Dark Sentiments 2014 – Day 8: What Does the Fox Say?

I’m not sure how I managed it, but I only first learned of the Norwegian brothers Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker, and their musical talents under the name of Ylvis, in the past few months. Lucky for me, they came into my life just in time to provide the musical introduction to today’s Dark Sentiment with The Fox. From my informal opinion poll conducted among my array of associates, you’ll either love it or hate it.
Moving on to the topic of the day, I am reminded of a verse from the 1966 Johnny Rivers hit, Secret Agent Man:
Beware of pretty faces that you find,
A pretty face can hide an evil mind,
Oh, be careful what you say,
Or you’ll give yourself away.
Odds are you won’t live to see tomorrow.
And then of course, there are those times when actions speak far louder than words. The following animated short film was directed in 2011 by students Thomas Bozovic, Alexandre Cazals, Julien Legay and Chao Ma of Supinfocom Arles in France. Relax now and watch A Fox Tale.
The song – seems like a riff directly from 'Radioactive' combined with the visions of a seriously hallucinogen addicted hipster lost in the woods… but not unpleasant. The animation video was beautiful! Breathtaking color and motion!
